To everything there is a season… in this eclectic patchwork quilt of a program! Acclaimed soprano Susanna Phillips brings her “blend of vigor, expressive depth and tonal splendor” (San Francisco Chronicle) to her CFC debut with a freewheeling mini cabaret. Next up, HK Gruber’s charmingly experimental “MOB” pieces make an intriguing pairing with Martinů’s musical soap opera based on the love life of kitchen utensils. (Really.) The program culminates with one of the most famous and influential theatrics of all time: the relentless, seductive, revolutionary The Rite of Spring.
