Kulas Hall, Cleveland Institute of Music
7:30PM

ChamberFest Cleveland is thrilled to open its 14th season in CIM’s recently renovated Kulas Hall with a colorful cornucopia of music from (almost) every continent. Virtuosic drumming from djembefola Weedie Braimah leads to reimaginings of everything from an ancient Chinese tale to a clock museum, Steve Reich’s iconic Piano Phase, and a playful piano trio by a composer called “Australia’s classical techno-head.” The second string sextet by Brahms is both wistful and tumultuous, with every nuance exquisitely amplified by the hall’s extraordinary acoustics.
