Franklin Cohen is not only the Founding Father (literally) of ChamberFest Cleveland, he is one of the most outstanding clarinetists, musicians, and teachers of his generation. With a professional career spanning almost 60 years, including a historic tenure as Principal Clarinet of The Cleveland Orchestra, two GRAMMY® awards, and 50 years on faculty at CIM, Frank’s extraordinary legacy is well worth celebrating. (Plus, he’s turning 80 this summer!) Colleagues, alumni, friends, and musical family share the stage for an unforgettable tribute to “one of the most cultivated proponents of the instrument walking the earth.”
