Bach’s boundless brilliance has been inspiring musicians and listeners alike for three centuries and counting, and the thrill of hearing this essential masterwork in the open air is truly a rapturous experience. Thirty variations open and close with a simple Aria, with kaleidoscopic transformations throughout. Rabinovich reveals, “It’s iconic music that I think everyone can connect to. Especially during this challenging time, this music has a spiritual quality to it as well as virtuosity.”
