Bach and More

Pop-up Lawn Concert on Guilford Road, Cleveland Heights
Sunday, June 13, 2021
Not included in Festival Pass

Pull up a lawn chair and settle into the heart of the Chamberhood for a sweet summer morning concert by three wonderful musicians: Violinist Liza Ferschtman (declared “thoroughly compelling” by The Strad), Dmitri Murrath, acclaimed by the New York Times for his “warm and noble tone” on viola, and Zlatomir Fung, the youngest musician ever to win First Prize at the International Tchaikovsky Competition. Enjoy a meditative Passacaglia, the poignant Lamentations drawing on Baroque fugues and Negro spirituals, Bach’s masterly Partita, and finally, two voices joining together for Ravel’s blues-inflected tribute to Debussy.
