Matt Moore, percussion, is an ASCAP composer whose music has been commissioned and performed around the country. He has served as Associate Band Director/Director of Percussion for Eaton High School since 2015. As a performer, he was a member of Carolina Crown, Southwind, and 2008 World Champion Rhythm X Indoor Percussion. He was a member of the battery staff for the Blue Knights Drum and Bugle Corps of Denver, Colorado from 2008 to 2010, helping the percussion section and corps place in the elite “top 12” in the Drum Corps International Championships. Mr. Moore has served as Director of Percussion for Lake Highlands High School in Dallas and Griffin Middle School in Frisco, Texas. Prior to that he instructed and arranged for various high school, collegiate, and independent programs in Kentucky, including the Campbellsville University Marching Band, Speed Indoor Percussion, and Bands of America Class A Grand National Champion, Adair County High School. His professional affiliations include the Texas Music Educators Association, the Percussive Arts Society, and Pi Kappa Lambda national music honor society. His Critical Mass for percussion ensemble is included in the Prelude to Paradise recording on Albany Records. He is an educational artist for Innovative Percussion sticks and mallets.
