  • CURRIER, Verge
  • BARTÓK, Sonata for Two Pianos and Percussion, Sz. 110
  • BRAHMS, Piano Quartet No. 1 in G minor, Op. 25

This highly charged program showcases virtuosic and percussive works that literally generate a “big bang” with the flair of gypsy folk music.  Brahms’s riveting Piano Quartet Op. 25 features the famous Gypsy Rondo, and Béla Bartók’s Sonata for Two Pianos and Percussion enthralls listeners as one of the most sonically inventive works in the repertoire.

To enhance your musical experience, arrive at 7 pm for an interactive presentation with composer Patrick Castillo and “Big Bang” performers.  After the concert, mingle with ChamberFEST artists and partake of complimentary local refreshments while enjoying the soulful music of Harmonia, Cleveland’s premier gypsy band.
